On April 25th, a delegation from the Beijing International Talent Exchange Association visited Guizhou University (GZU) for a collaborative exchange forum.

The meeting was attended by Yang Youchang, Vice Director-General of Guizhou Provincial Department of Science and Technology; Wang Xu, Vice President of Guizhou University; Wang Yunqiang and Xu Baorong, Advisors of Beijing International Talent Exchange Association and former Deputy Directors of Human Resources and Social Security Bureaus in Beijing’s Fengtai and Chaoyang Districts, respectively; Professor Martin Travis Dove from the School of Mechanical Engineering of Guizhou University of Engineering Science; Professor He Jingsha from Beijing University of Technology’s School of Computer Science; and Abdul Rahman, Ghulam Murtaza, and Hafiz Muhammad Naeem Ullah, Associate Researchers from Minzu University of China. Representatives from Guizhou Provincial Department of Science and Technology’s Talent Division (Foreign Experts Office) and International Talent Office, as well as faculty members from GZU’s Scientific Research Institute, School of Computer Science and Technology (Guizhou Institute of Confidentiality), School of Big Data and Information Engineering, School of Materials and Metallurgy, and State Key Laboratory of Public Big Data also participated. Hong Yun, Director of GZU’s Office of International Exchange and Cooperation, chaired the meeting.

In his welcome remarks, Wang Xu emphasized GZU’s commitment to internationalization as a “Double First-Class” initiative university. He highlighted ongoing collaborations with institutions in the United States, the United Kingdom, Pakistan, and other countries, expressing hope for deeper scientific and technological partnerships with the visiting delegation.

Wang Yunqiang underscored the association’s mission of “gathering global talents for shared progress” and pledged to strengthen ties with Guizhou’s international talent community to inject intellectual resources into GZU’s development.

Yang Youchang concluded by urging both sides to leverage their strengths in scientific innovation to deliver transformative outcomes for society.

The forum featured in-depth discussions on materials science, big data, and computer technology. Following the meeting, the delegation toured the National-Local Joint Engineering Laboratory for High-Performance Metal Structural Materials and Manufacturing Technology and the State Key Laboratory of Public Big Data.
