Six Outstanding Alumni of GZU Honored as National Model Workers and Advanced Workers

On April 28th, a conference celebrating the 100th anniversary of the All-China Federation of Trade Unions and recognizing national model workers and advanced workers was held in Beijing. Among the 2,426 individuals recognized at the conference, 1,670 were national model workers and 756 were national advanced workers. Notably, six distinguished alumni of our university received the honorary titles of “National Model Worker” and “National Advanced Worker” for their contributions in 2025.

The recipients of the “National Model Worker” title are as follows:

Lu Ping, a 1996 graduate of Guizhou University with a degree in Materials Science and Engineering, presently serves as the Deputy Director of the Technology Center at Guizhou Steel Rope (Group) Co., Ltd. She also holds the position of Research Fellow in Engineering Technology Application.

Yang Zhaohong, a 1990 Nonferrous Metallurgy graduate of Guizhou University, presently serves as Deputy Chief Engineer and holds the title of Professor-level Senior Engineer at Guiyang Aluminum & Magnesium Engineering & Research Institute Co., Ltd.

Fu Lei, a 2000 alumnus of Guizhou University with a degree in Property Mechanical and Electrical Engineering from the Department of Mechanical and Electrical Engineering, is presently employed at Shougang Shuicheng Iron and Steel (Group) Co., Ltd. Within the Ironmaking Division's Electrical Operations Area, he serves as an electrician, electrical engineer, and senior technician.

The following are recipients of the title "National Advanced Worker":

Yang Bingnan, a 2022 Geology Engineering graduate of Guizhou University, presently serves as the Dean of the Geophysical and Geochemical Exploration Institute within the 103rd Geological Brigade of the Guizhou Bureau of Geology and Mineral Exploration and Development.

Wu Chuanming, a 1987 pomology graduate of Guizhou University, currently serves as the Director of the Fruit and Vegetable Technology Guidance Station within the Tianzhu County Bureau of Agriculture and Rural Affairs, holding the rank of Research Professor.

Mu Dongling, a 2007 graduate of Guizhou University with a degree in Fruit Trees, currently serves as the Director of the Economic Crop Station at the Bijie Municipal Bureau of Agriculture and Rural Affairs.
